Hello to all. If you’re looking for a Technical Author (Technical Writer, Process Analyst, documentation manager), you have found me, Michael Clark. I’m based in Chesham, Bucks and offer a professional Technical Documentation service and Business Process Analysis, Document/Information management using a recognised Content/Document Management System such as SharePoint or Confluence. I bring a wide set of skills to the table and can provide sound advice regarding your documentation project. In fact, I would advise you not to start such a project without speaking to me.

Technical Authoring defines a written form of technical communication used in a variety of technical fields — computer software and hardware, chemistry, aeronautics, engineering, robotics, finance, etc. Some people define it as “writing complex things in a simple form”.

I consider myself a natural tech writer when it comes to breaking down complex processes into easy-to-understand instructions.

Companies have a collective problem with documentation. They have a disparate collection of documentation spread throughout the various departments but it is not centrally available to those who need it and it has no value to those who use it.

As a Technical Author, my aim is to add value to a documentation project which aids the organisation. I can write easy-to-read, useable, accessible information to those who need that information, and in doing so, advance the goals of the organisation.

I can bring order to a chaotic documentation library and create a set of documentation that everyone can use and rely upon for accurate information.
